Their connection was largely social in the 1990s, when both were prominent figures in New York and Florida high society.

The latest files include draft emails written by Epstein alleging Gates had relationships with Russian women on Little St. James, as well as claims—strongly denied—that Gates sought secret medical treatment for a sexually transmitted disease.
Gates’ representatives have categorically denied these allegations, calling them “completely false” and suggesting Epstein was attempting blackmail or retaliation. No evidence places Gates on the island, and no victim has accused him.
Elon Musk: Emails About Visiting the Island
Newly released documents contradict Elon Musk’s earlier claims of only brief contact with Epstein. Emails from 2012–2013 show discussions about visiting Little St. James by helicopter. In one message, Musk allegedly asked: “Which night will be the wildest party on your island?”
Epstein replied with comments about the male-to-female ratio, to which Musk reportedly said it wouldn’t bother his wife at the time. Ultimately, the trips never happened due to scheduling conflicts.
Musk has acknowledged the emails but insists they were casual exchanges and that he never visited the island. Court documents suggest Epstein exaggerated his connections to boost his own status.
