Caught on Camera Cheating with Employee, Billion-Dollar CEO Issues Open Letter
USA – During a recent Coldplay concert at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, the CEO of Astronomer was unexpectedly caught cheating with an employee — in a way no one saw coming.
During the intermission between songs on the night of July 16, the concert organizers randomly selected couples in the audience to appear on the main screen and show affection as part of a “kiss cam” segment.
To the surprise of tens of thousands of concertgoers, the screen suddenly displayed a man affectionately embracing a woman from behind. The moment they saw themselves on the big screen, both immediately separated and turned their faces away.
The awkward moment even prompted Coldplay frontman Chris Martin to comment from the stage:
“That couple is either cheating or just really shy,”
drawing laughter from the audience.

The embarrassed man ducking his head in the viral video was none other than Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer — a data infrastructure startup dubbed a tech “unicorn” after being valued at over $1 billion in 2022.
What made the situation even more shocking was that the woman Byron was holding wasn’t his wife — it was Kristin Cabot, Astronomer’s Chief Human Resources Officer.
The video capturing this “caught-in-the-act” moment quickly exploded across social media platforms, becoming a trending topic within hours of being shared.

Byron is reportedly married with two sons. Multiple sources have revealed that Kristin Cabot has been divorced since 2022.
Following the incident, Byron’s wife is believed to have removed all references to her husband from her social media profiles, and subsequently deactivated her accounts entirely.
Meanwhile, netizens have flooded the couple’s public profiles with mocking and critical comments.
In an open letter now circulating online, Byron criticized the unauthorized filming and viral sharing of what he called a private moment at a public event.

On social media, a letter reportedly written by Byron and sent to Astronomer’s internal team has gone viral. In it, he admits the “embarrassing moment” is spreading rapidly online, and expresses a heartfelt apology to his “wife, family, and the entire Astronomer team” for the fallout they’ve had to endure.
“This is not the person I strive to be, nor is it how I want to represent the company I helped build,” Byron wrote.
“I am taking time to reflect, take accountability, and determine the next steps — both personally and professionally. I ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”

Andy Byron has served as CEO of Astronomer since 2023. Kristin Cabot joined the company in November 2024 as Chief Human Resources Officer.
In a press release announcing her appointment, Byron praised Cabot as an “exceptional leader” who was a perfect cultural fit for the company.
