Elon Musk issues 5-word response to Mike Myers’ ‘brutal’ impression of him on SNL during Trump Zelenskyy skit

Uh oh, it looks like Mike Myers has made a powerful enemy, with the American funnyman irking Elon Musk due to an impression of the world’s richest man. It’s become something of a circus in Washington recently, with the big news being a disastrous meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Things got pretty heated when Zelensky visited the White House, especially when Vice President JD Vance told the Ukrainian President to be thankful to Trump for providing aid.
There were arguments about the way Zelensky dresses, accusations that he called Vance a ‘b*tch’, and the whole thing descended into chaos.
While Elon Musk wasn’t there, he’s been dragged into the debacle when Myers performed a skit laughing at the situation on Saturday Night Live.

Musk isn’t a fan of Myers’ SNL impression of him (NBC)
With James Austin Johnson pulling off a pretty solid Trump impression, Myers Musk stopped by with a chainsaw to joke about his appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference when Argentinian President Javier Milei gave him a gilded chainsaw.
Mocking Musk’s role as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, mass firings from government departments, and spike in plane crashes, Myers-Musk joked: “We’re not going to get it perfect, you know. But we are firing the non-essential employees like air traffic controllers.
“And sure, some of the planes are going to land upside down. But then the luggage falls right into your lap and you’re ready to go.”
Bowen Yang also came in as Vance and addressed Mikey Day’s Zelenskyy saying: “You haven’t said thank you for the past 15 seconds since I’ve been yelling at you.”
SNL‘s cold open homaged the real-life part of the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting where the POTUS said: “You’re not in a good position. You don’t have the cards right now with us.”
Zelenskyy chimed in: “I’m not playing cards right now, I’m very serious Mr President. I am a wartime president.”
SNL Trump says: “I have ‘skip.’ I have ‘draw four.’ I have ‘reverse.’ I have ‘get out of jail free’ — the Supreme Court gave me that one.”
Myers’ Musk also wore a ‘Tech Support’ t-shirt as a nod to the outfit he wore during Trump’s first cabinet press conference. That was an equally awkward meeting where Trump joked that he’d fire anyone who didn’t think Musk was doing a good job.
Dana Carvey previously portrayed Musk on SNL, and the latter wasn’t a fan. Posting on X in November 2024, Musk said: “Dana Carvey just sounds like Dana Carvey.”
It seems he’s equally unimpressed with Myers’ portrayal of him, saying: “Humor fails when it lies.”
Others agreed with Musk, with someone else saying: “I wouldn’t call this ‘funny’ but Myers’s Musk impression is really brutal.”
Another added: “Yeah! The talent is missing at SNL these past couple of years. It’s more like SNUZ. Perhaps a result of DEI.”
Someone else mocked the entire situation and said: “This is exactly what happened in White House. And yes, this is not funny – this is a shame for US to have such people in power.”

President Donald Trump isn’t even halfway through his first 100 days, but we’re already looking at a very different United States of America. Alongside tariffs levied against the likes of the European Union and China, he’s renamed the Gulf of Mexico, appointed Elon Musk as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, and even suggested Canada become the 51st state.
It’s been a wild ride, and firmly by his side on this roller coaster of changes has been Mr. Musk. More than being the head of the DOGE, the self-confessed ‘First Buddy’ has vowed to cut $2 trillion from government spending.
Although Musk originally admitted he didn’t think it could be done, that hasn’t stopped him from trying. Whole departments have been shut down, over 75,000 federal employees have apparently taken the ‘deferred resignation’ offer, and 21 within his own United States DOGE Service stepped down in a single day.

The cuts won’t end here, with Musk’s now-infamous “What did you do last week?” email demanding that government workers justify their jobs. For all of those praising Musk as the fat-trimming hero America needs right now, it seems there are just as many against him. Texas representative Jasmine Crockett has given a two-word response, Senator Tina Smith referred to him as a d*ck, and someone played a NSFW AI video of Musk and Trump in the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
During the first cabinet meeting of his second term, President Trump awkwardly came to Musk’s defense and asked the entire room if they thought the tech mogul was doing a good job.
One journalist addressed Trump’s Truth Social claims that everyone in the cabinet is happy with Musk and took the question to the entire room.
As Musk went to interject, the POTUS chimed in saying: “Elon, let the cabinet speak, just for a second.”
He then directly said: “Is anyone unhappy with Elon? If you are, we’ll throw them out of here.”
There were some awkward chuckles and uncomfortable faces followed by a round of applause. Trump then added: “[They] have a lot of respect for Elon and that’s he’s doing this.
“Some disagree a little bit, but I will tell you, for the most part, I think everyone’s not only happy, they’re thrilled.”
Looking at the bigger picture, the President said he wants to balance the US budget “maybe by next year or the year after.” The last time the country had a budget surplus was in 2001.
Although Musk didn’t get a seat at the table, he was equally full of praise as he stood to the side wearing a t-shirt that read ‘Tech Support’: “President Trump has put together the best Cabinet ever. Literally, I don’t think that such a talented team has ever been assembled.”
Hyping his own work and delivering a warning to the US people, Musk concluded: “I’m taking a lot of flak, and getting a lot of death threats, by the way.
“If we don’t do this, America will go bankrupt. That’s why it has to be done.”

President Donald Trump has praised Elon Musk’s new position as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency, but after the POTUS said he wants to see the billionaire be ‘more aggressive’, Musk has wasted no time in making it happen.
Having already taken a chainsaw to the likes of the National Space Council and USAID, Musk is looking at the bigger picture and has targeted the entire government workforce (currently sitting at over two million staff).
He’s already raised eyebrows by giving staff just 48 hours to respond to an email asking what they did last week, saying that those who don’t respond will be considered as voluntarily resigning.
Trump and his ‘First Buddy’ seem to be working in tandem, and back in January, the President said that federal employees must return to in-office routines “or be terminated.”
Trump demanded that the government return to pre-pandemic schedules, and posting on X, Musk has confirmed the mandate is being rolled out.
The world’s richest man wrote: “Those who ignored President Trump’s executive order to return to work have now received over a month’s warning.

“Starting this week, those who still fail to return to office will be placed on administrative leave.”
His response came after Rep. Ralph Norman said that no government agency is occupying even half of its workspaces.
Trump previously said that he thinks few will return to the office, meaning the government will “get smaller and more efficient.”
Employees were reportedly offered buyout plans if they didn’t want to return to their offices, while it’s now over to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to enact these changes. Although the Associated Press hasn’t got an exact figure, hundreds of thousands of government workers have reportedly been affected – with many coming from outside of Washington. At least 75,000 have reportedly taken the ‘deferred resignation’ option and accepted payments up until September 30.
According to OPM spokesperson McLaurine Pinove, the deferred resignation program “provides generous benefits so federal workers can plan for their futures.”
One of the hundreds of executive orders that Trump signed on his first day in office was the “Return to In-Person Work” order, saying that department heads must take the “necessary steps to terminate remote work.”
Just hours after Trump called for Musk to take a more aggressive stance, the DOGE head responded by saying: “Will do, Mr. President!”
These Musk mandates have caused a stir, with one critic writing: “‘Land of the Free’ or North Korea? The U.S. government is now forcing federal employees back to the office under threat of termination—ignoring both economic realities and modern work efficiency.”
Another complained: “Why do you care about where they work from as opposed to the job results they produce ? Is Ai going to show up to the office ? Of course not. What’s important is that the job gets done. Revenge of the nerds gone too far.”
Others thanked Musk for powering forward as one supporter added: “Accountability is finally here. 🚨 Federal employees had plenty of warning, now it’s time to show up or step aside. Taxpayers shouldn’t be funding empty offices and no-show jobs. Work in office, or find a new job. Simple as that. 🔥🇺🇸.”
Someone else concluded: “Have them come to the office to pick up their paychecks. Simple move to get to see who is actually working.”

Like something from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Department of Justice has released ‘Phase 1’ of the previously locked Epstein Files and promised to reveal the celebrity connections of the deceased financier. After being arrested on federal charges for the sex trafficking of minors in 2019, Epstein was found hanged in his cell just over a month later.
The release of the Epstein Files isn’t to implicate anyone in any wrongdoing, but instead, is a ‘contact list’ of those in Epstein’s little black book and those who flew to his compound in the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Included in this is President Donald Trump, who was previously recorded as taking at least three flights with ‘JE’ (Jeffrey Epstein) in 1993 and 1994. Others mentioned include Michael Jackson, Robert F Kennedy Jr., and Hillary and Bill Clinton.

In the Phase 1 release, there’s a heavily redacted copy of an address book and flight logs that were already available due to multiple court cases and media accounts. The DoJ has added a blacked-out list of masseuses and an evidence list that includes nude images and sex toys. Elon Musk was accused of reaching out to Epstein for advice about Tesla, but now, the world’s richest man has spoken out in defense of Bondi after she said the new pages would ‘make you sick’.
Musk posted on X and said that Bondi is likely under pressure from within the DoJ and that we shouldn’t assume her position of power grants her much control.
Sharing a post that says Bondi “is fighting a leftist culture within the DoJ and FBI” and that her critics should ‘give her a chance’, Musk added: “People don’t understand that you don’t get instant power here.”
In another post, he compared Bondi’s situation to being on a ship with an uncooperative crew and said it would be ‘literally impossible’ to steer it: “Imagine if you were suddenly appointed AG or head of the FBI.
“You were just thrown on a ship with a hostile crew. Until you appoint some new crew members and figure out the ropes, you can’t steer the ship effectively. It’s literally impossible.”
The Attorney General accused the FBI office in New York of holding back 200 pages, and in response, wrote to FBI Director Kash Patel saying that she wanted “the full and complete Epstein files” to be handed over by February 28.
As highlighted by The Independent, there’s been plenty of MAGA backlash following the ‘disappointing’ release of the Epstein Files. Among them is Representative Anna Paulina Luna, who raged: “THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment.
“GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!”
She was joined by former One America News Network host Liz Wheeler, who added: “We’re talking recordings, evidence, etc. The juicy stuff. Names. These swamp creatures at SDNY deceived Bondi, Kash, and YOU. Be outraged that the binder is boring. You should be. Because the evil deep state LIED TO YOUR FACE.”
With the backlash ongoing, it remains to be seen whether the public will be happier with the inevitable ‘Phase 2’ of the Epstein Files.

With Donald Trump’s feet firmly back under the table at the White House, his role as 47th President of the United States is joined JD Vance as his official Vice President. Still, the implementation of Elon Musk as the head of the Department of Government Efficiency and power to try and slash up to $2 trillion off the federal spend means some have even elevated his title from the self-appointed ‘First Buddy’ to ‘President Musk’.
Although Musk doesn’t have a position that was voted for and is instead seen as a “special government employee”, his proximity to the POTUS is causing a divide. Major agencies, including the FBI, told staffers to ignore an email from Musk demanding to know “What did you do last week?”, while there were some awkward glances when Trump asked his cabinet whether they thought the DOGE head was doing a good job.

The President seems pretty happy with the way things are going, and despite calls for Musk to be ‘more aggressive’ in slashing federal outgoings, he says that those close to him are ‘thrilled’ by what the Tesla and SpaceX CEO has accomplished in the past few weeks.
There are questions from the Democrats about just how much power Musk is wielding, but according to longtime Democratic strategist James Carville, the divisive billionaire could actually be doing the party a favor.
Speaking to NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo, Carville said Musk will ‘be the greatest generator’ for Democratic votes. Explaining why, Carville continued: “Let me say this very specifically, the greatest generator of Democratic turnout ever, more than Barack Obama.
“Musk will turn out more Democrats than Obama could, and I understand the gravity of that statement, but if he keeps going, that’s what’s going to happen.”
When Cuomo pushed Carville on why, the latter replied: “Well, I was privy to some data that in a very critical state, and the Musk stuff is like nothing I’ve ever seen in the history of polling. Like, nothing. And we’re a month into the game.”
He didn’t reveal more about this data, but according to a Washington Post-Ipsos poll from February 13-18, 49% of those asked said they didn’t think Musk was doing a good job. This was compared to just 34% approving of the way he’s handling things.
The same poll (unsurprisingly) revealed that only 6% of Democrats approved of his work when compared to 70% of Republicans.
Finally, 56% of Republicans in the poll thought it was necessary for Musk to shut down whole departments.
Carville told Democrats to bide their time instead of throwing their hands in the air or holding press conferences, doubling down on the idea that the government will ‘collapse’ within the next 30 days: “Events are coming. The budget is coming. The resolution is coming, the debt ceiling is coming.
“You can come up with every fake number you want, but you can’t fool a bond market that these people are not foolable. They’re not gonna believe any of that.”
